About the Special Education Teacher Position

Special Ed Teacher (Academic Success Program Teacher):
Collaborate with the CRICS Academic Success Program team to best serve students and teachers.
Attend IEP meetings for students helping to determine appropriate goals and accommodations.
Interact with teachers and parents to determine correct goals for students each year and help monitor these goals from year to year.
Interact with teachers in giving them suggestions for how to support students with Research Tried Interventions (RTI’s).
Lead small groups of students with ELL/Special Education issues in reading, writing, and math.
Lead small groups of students with auditory processing and sensory issues.
Provide feedback to teachers on how to accommodate students within their class.
Read tests, class material, etc. to students with reading issues on test or quiz days.
As instructed by Academic Success Program Team Leader, check in with teachers and parents regularly to monitor student progress.
Ensure accommodations are being used for each student with an IEP.
Be actively involved in improving knowledge concerning special education by participating in EdWeb, seminars, conferences, etc.

Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited program with a BS or MA in Special Education with a concentration on Learning Disabled

Located in northern Thailand you’ll serve missionary kids and their families, enabling families to continue serving in Asia. You’ll also serve local students. Share the love of Jesus daily through education!
