About Evangelical Christian Academy

For almost 50 years, ECA has been serving the educational needs of families in Spain. Join our vibrant staff and be a part of ECA’s vision of equipping and inspiring each student to impact the world through Christ.

Founded in 1973, ECA provides a Christ-centered, biblically based, academically excellent and service-driven education to the international community in Madrid. A small number of nationals also attend.

We are recognized as an American school on foreign soil by the Spanish Ministry of Education. This recognition is based upon our accreditation from ACSI (Association of Christian School International) Andy MSA (Middle States Association).

We primarily use a U.S.-based curriculum, with some additions of British and Spanish texts. Curriculum is not necessarily Christian but all classes are taught through a Biblical worldview.

Teachers must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a valid teaching license is preferred. Other Benefits the School Offers: 2000 euros yearly

Full-time staff members also receive the following benefits;

– students who are very grateful for your service!

– Tuition discount for staff children (instead of the monthly stipend)

– 500 euros towards initial airfare to Spain (with an additional 500 after 2 years)

– 200 euros a year for language learning

– a staff cultural trip every year
